On Tuesday 18-05-2021 government announced that trials on Covaxin’s efficacy against covid on children between 2-18 years of age to begin in 10-12 days. Addressing a Health Ministry briefing, Niti Aayog member VK Paul stated that the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the vaccine for phase II and III clinical trials in the age group of 2 to 18 years. Dr paul has said that mostly in 10-12 days the vaccination will starts for the age group of 2-18 years.
Covid effect on children in second phase:
Bharat Biotech and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has been found that most of the effective new strains of covid have developed in phase2. Which has a wide effect on the children.
Focusing on the other end most of reports states new covid strains were affecting more children. Digging to the past, Arvind Kejriwal (Delhi Chief Minister) states that new strains are very dangerous which can result in the third wave of covid, thus he appealed Central government to break all services with Singapore before these new strains invade India into the third phase.

Kejriwal appeal to government:
In view of the current pandemic, the new strains in Singapore is very dangerous for the children. It takes no time to reach Delhi, if so it is nothing but leads to the third phase in India. So it would be wise if we cancel all the airlines in between India and Singapore,
In alternative on a priority basis work on vaccines for children which would be so helpful.
