IPL 2021 Restart – The Remaining Matches of IPL is Set to be Played in UAE: 

We all know that the IPL 2021 is suspended suddenly in between due to the issues related to covid in India, But now there is good news for all the IPL fans. The Second Phase of IPL 2021 is set to begin from September till October in UAE, There is a piece of the very special news for the citizens of the UAE as per an Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) official news, they will going to allow spectators at 50% of capacity in the stadiums for the Phase 2 of the IPL. To discuss the details about the resumption of the IPL and allowing spectators, BCCI’s top brass will going to join Vice-President Rajeev Shukla in Dubai and meet the ECB officials this Wednesday and discuss the essential details about the 2021 IPL phase 2.
 
 

IPL 2021 Restart – BCCI Confirmed about IPL 2021 Phase 2:

On Saturday, the BCCI confirmed about the IPL 2021 Phase 2 that the tournament will be started again soon and the matches will take place in the UAE before the ICC T20 World Cup. The COVID-19 situation is under control in the UAE and also the 70% of UAE residents have been already vaccinated, so as per reports, the IPL will allow 50% of spectators in the stadiums if they are fully vaccinated. Apart from this, the UAE is not allowing any foreign traveler in their country without a proper covid vaccination
 
 

IPL 2021 Phase 2 – Spectators Can be Allowed in the Stadium up to 50 % of the Capacity:

Very good news to all the IPL lovers over there in the UAE, The ECB officials said that the spectators will be back in stadiums for IPL in UAE we are going to allow the spectators with a 50% occupancy and only the people who are properly vaccinated. IPL 2021 Phase 2: The BCCI Vic-President Rajeev Shukla who is already reached the UAE will be joined with top brass — President Sourav Ganguly, IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel, and Secretary Jay Shah, on Wednesday for discussing further proceedings on IPL resumption with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB).
 
 

IPL 2021 Restart – Rajeev Shukla About IPL 2021 to Khaleej Times:

Shukla told to Khaleej Times that “I am already here at UAE. Now a team of BCCI officials, president Sourav Ganguly, IPL chairman Brijesh Patel, and secretary Jay Shah will be coming to UAE in a couple of days,” During the discussion, the point about allowing spectators will also be raised. Rajeev Shukla also said it will be up to the UAE government and ECB to take a further step on the matter. Rajeev Shukla also said, “They will definitely allow restarting the IPL 2021 here but the main problem is about allowing spectators into the stadiums, We doesn’t know that they will agree to allow the spectators or not. So, we will definitely talk to them about that. But the final decision is by them we will go by whatever UAE authorities decide. If they agree with allowing spectators, or with a certain percentage of spectators, we are fine with it. And also even they don’t agree to allow spectators, that is also fine to us. There is no additional problem with it,”
 

IPL 2021 Phase 2 – Vaccination for Entire IPL Contingent:

In the meeting, we will also discuss vaccinating the entire IPL contingent including franchise officials, support staff, and every staff who works for the tournament. Indian players have already received the first dose of the vaccine and the second dose will be given in the UK. Rajeev Shukla said they would be fully vaccinated before leaving for the IPL 2021 Phase 2 in UAE. That means, BCCI will need to vaccinate 700-800 people for the tournament and the process of vaccination would need to start now because the second dose will be given after 2-3 months as per ICMR guidelines. Shukla said. “We will follow all the Covid vaccination protocols which are required, and we will be following both Indian protocols as well as the UAE protocols,”

IPL 2021 Restart – BCCI to Resume the IPL 2021 Phase 2 on September 18:

Apart from that, the BCCI officials will also be going to discuss the potential dates for the matches with the UAE board. While the available start date of the tournament is after India’s Test series against England, Rajeev Shukla also said that the BCCI is thinking to resume the IPL 2021 Phase 2 on September 18, 2021, with four days of gap after the 5th Test in Manchester. But the exact date will be finalized only after the meeting with the ECB as it is also hosting other bilateral series.
Rajeev Shukla said, “We will be making discussions with the cricket board here and the other required authorities. And accordingly, the schedule of the match resume will be made, so the tournament will happen in a very smooth manner without causing any issues.
