Stream Marvel Black Widow:
Marvel Cinematic Universe’s new film Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson’s releases on Friday, July 9 in North America including several other countries. Marvel also released the film on streaming service Disney+ with a Premiere Access for a cost of $30 (about Rs. 2,200) on the same date.
But the film Black Widow is not released in India, Indian fans have to wait a bit longer to witness Natasha Romanoff in action maybe it takes months to release the film in India. Initially, Black Widow was supposed to release in Indian theatres at the same time as the rest of the world but due to the COVID-19 restrictions Theaters are closed all over India. and the film’s release was stopped.
Why Black Widow Not Available in India and Disney+Hotstar:
Despite all this, as of now, Marvel has not made the movie available for Disney+ users in India, at the same time, there is no feature like for the film in India’s version of Disney+ Hotstar, the reason behind this is not clear.
Neither Disney+ Hotstar and Disney+ has ever bothered to explain why the Premier Access on Disney+ Hotstar is not available for the Indian users. Perhaps they may think that users in India will not agree to pay for Premier Access for a movie they watch from home.
But if we talk about Zack Snyder’s Justice League it was made available in BookMyShow Stream and over 100,000 people watched on BookMyShow. Marvel’s Black Widow is huge popularity and fanbase, the film would have sold well if it’s also released in India.
Black Widow Release Date in India Disney+Hotstar:
While Black Widow is expected to available to everyone on October 8 internationally on Disney+. that is the date when Disney+Hotstar will stream Black Widows for all Indian viewers. For example, Disney’s Mulan was also released with a premier Access first, but not made available for India, and then later became free of cost on December 4, and then the movie was made available in India on Disney+ Hotstar.
So even if Marvel’s Black Widow was released in India on July 9, we have to still wait for few more months to watch the film from the comfort of our homes as there is no Premiere Access feature in India’s version of Disney+.
The reason for not releasing in India might also be that Disney and Marvel’s studios want more people to watch the film on the big screen, mainly IMAX. Like other MCU films, Black Widow is a film that is made to be enjoyed in theatres.
