Roger Federer has made an statement on Tokyo Olympics.
Roger Federer Said that, No one knows whether there will be Tokyo Games or not, but athletes can decide themselves whether to play or not to play in the Olympics, Roger Federer has won a 8 Wimbledon, 6 Australian Open, 5 US Open and 1 French Open Grand Slam as so far.
The Swiss tennis star Roger Federer has made an statement on whether or not the Tokyo Olympics were played in the midst situation of the Corona pandemic. The 20-times Grand Slam winner Roger Federer said that as of now no one can tell whether there will be a Tokyo Olympic games between the Covid. However, the athletes can themselves decide whether they want to join the Olympics or not.
Roger Federer has also not clarified that whether he will play the Tokyo Olympics or not. They believe that they will take some actions only after seeing the situations of that time. The Roger Federer has won gold in doubles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. and also he won the silver medal in singles at the 2012 London Olympics.
The Tokyo Olympics can postponed or cancelled:
The Tokyo Olympics were scheduled to be held in between July 23 and August 8 this year against the Japanese Olympics. But currently, the Corona Emergency has placed in Tokyo until the May 31. Several surveys about this were also conducted in Japan, with the result with 60 to 80% of people are believing that the Olympic games should be postponed or canceled. A petition also been filed for the cancellation of Olympic games, in support for the petition of more than 3.5 lakh people have also signed.
Roger Federer: A Big pride for the country winning the medal in the Olympics.
Roger Federer told on the Swiss channel that to be very honest, I don’t even know what exactly is going to happen. Whether I will play in Olympic or not, I was stuck in between these two things. Apart from that I also want to win a medal in the Olympics for the Switzerland. its my greatest honor. in case If these Olympics got canceled due to the current situation, then I will understand and accept the situation.
Athletes can decide themselves whether to play or not in the Olympics.
Roger Federer said that I mostly believe all Athletes should understand their priority. Every Athletes himself has to decide whether he or she want to join the Tokyo Olympics or not. We all know that the situation is not under control due to the pandemic. As an athlete you have to make your own decision. If you feel that leaving the Olympics is not right for you, than you can stay and do not leave the games. I can’t say anything about my decision as of now, I need time to decide myself.
